Remember when you used to rock the denim skirt back in the day? I would have to go back a ways, but I could definitely find old pictures of myself in my cut-off minis from the junior high/high school days. I wore them with EVERYTHING. After those few years of wearing it on repeat (no matter what the season or temperature outside) I was definitely burnt out. When leaving for college, I let go of ALL of my denim skirts thinking that was the last I would see of the trend. Well, I stand corrected.
The denim skirt is making a comeback, but in a much better way than before! This skirt has worked its way into my everyday wardrobe, creating a twist on the classic pencil skirt. I love how I can dress it up for date night, or down with a cute pair of flats, creating a classy look with none other than a denim skirt!
I found this denim skirt on sale at Anthropologie last year. I love the versatility of denim, so adding a classic pencil skirt into my rotation was perfect. In the fall I can pair it with chunky sweaters and booties (just like my jeans!) to change up my denim pieces. For this look, I kept things classic and paired my skirt with these nude Jessica Simpson pumps. Wearing a skirt makes me feel girly, but the ripped denim also gives it an edge. I love this look because, in my opinion, it is a “fun version” of business casual. The length of the skirt, paired with the classic pump is clean, but the denim adds a little bit of life!
