Oxford Exchange

For Labor Day Weekend, Jon Luke and I ventured over to Tampa, Florida to spend the long weekend.  My dad’s side of the family lives down there, so I have grown up visiting those beautiful Florida beaches.  Because I would visit quite often to see my family, I tend to have my favorite spots that I like to hit up while down there.  While I still had my favorite meals during our stay, I decided to add a few new places to our list so we could see new pieces of Tampa and St. Petersburg.  On that list were a few restaurants, bars and shopping areas, but one that I was most excited about was the Oxford Exchange.

The Oxford Exchange is a BEAUTIFUL venue that can serve as a host for weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties and many other special occasions.  When it is not hosting private events though, it is open to the public to enjoy coffee or tea, a tasty meal and even a little bit of shopping.  When you enter on one side, you walk through a classic book store.  On the other, it is a beautiful shop filled with a variety of goodies to look through.  Once you get to the center of the building, it opens up to high ceilings, and amazing large windows.  It is here that the coffee and tea options are available, as well as sitting areas to rest your feet.  You can venture out in to the courtyard for your meal, or head upstairs for a quite workspace as well.  The décor at the Oxford Exchangeis perfect and I can see how people love having events there!

I was so happy we were able to try this new spot out, and am definitely putting it on our list for next time!  I am going to have to allot for more time, so I can enjoy and long brunch AND shopping!  If you are ever in Tampa, do yourself a favor and check it out, but make sure you make a reservation to eat!
