As I slowly add to my fall and winter wardrobe, I have been drawn to certain things. I am loving plaid, the red color palette, oversized sweaters and scarves, and vests. In the last two weeks, four or five different styles of vests have appeared in my closet. Crazy right? But I love them! They have been perfect for helping me create fall looks without sweating like crazy in this Louisiana heat. I am trying to make sure each vest I purchase is somewhat different in style including a military vest (last seen here), a long wool vest, a “blazer-type” vest, and this one- leather. Variety is the spice of life!
I have been patiently waiting for a time to break this vest out. This summer, I snagged it on sale at Saks Fifth Avenue in New Orleans and was so excited. It is a very light leather with a mesh back, and is perfect for dressing up any outfit, or creating a chic look with jeans. For this look, I paired it with a fitted midi dress to create a simple and classic outfit. The light grey color is beautiful and will be easy to pair with other items in my closet. I definitely see this vest being put to good use this season!
