The Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend the fall weather was in full force.  With the chilly mornings and evenings, I broke out a few of my thicker sweaters to keep warm.  On Saturday, we decided to venture over to the pumpkin patch to pick out some décor for our front porch.  I love decorating for the holidays so it is fun to get started with a fall theme!  For our pumpkins, we go to a local church that hosts a pumpkin patch each year.  All of their proceeds go to a variety of their ministries, including missions, children and others.  I love that by purchasing pumpkins from them we are helping their cause, and they always have a good selection so it makes decorating fun!

Like I said, our mornings and evenings this weekend were pretty chilly, so I was really excited to break out some thicker sweaters (even if it was just for a few days).  This one from Forever 21 is SO comfortable and I love the black and cream combo.  Throwing it on (or any oversized sweater) with a comfortable pair of jeans and booties is quite possibly my favorite go-to look.  Feeling cozy, with a warm vanilla latte in my hands screams fall to me and gets me excited for this season.  These booties are a favorite of mine right now.  They are comfortable and classic, but have little touches to them that make them different from other booties I own.  Keeping my outfit in the classic color family, I broke out my new bag (insert extra excitement!) and added that beautiful pop of burgundy to the look.
