As you probably know, the weather here in Louisiana is very unpredictable. One day it will be 74 degrees (yesterday) and the next it will be 40 degrees with winds that make it feel like its 35 degrees (today). It can make my wardrobe selections difficult at times because I don’t ever want to invest in true winter items, but will need them every now and then. I have realized I get the most wear out of the items that I can pair with sandals AND boots/booties. These transitional pieces help me create a variety of looks for whatever mother nature brings. I love this front button suede skirt from ASOS and have gotten so much wear out of it this year. You may remember it from a previous post (seen here), where I paired it with sandals and a sleeveless sweater. Now that we are experiencing some cooler temperatures, I decided to wear it with my over-the-knee boots making it a great option for winter!
So I will go ahead and say, I am a huge fan of the over-the-knee boot. I mean, it is probably no secret at this point, but I LOVE how I feel in these boots. I also have the flat style (worn here, here and here), and I think they are my favorite boots I own. I can keep things simple when wearing them, or I can make a statement, pairing them with a dress or skirt like I did here.
