Our Helicopter Adventure

Fair warning, there is a slight picture overload in this post.  There was just SO much to see!  So if you follow me on social media you probably saw that we were in Las Vegas this past weekend.  You also probably saw that we went on a little adventure involving a helicopter.  Those of you who know me, know that this was a big deal for me.  I was terrified because of some past experiences, but I was determined to conquer this fear.  We had heard of the Grand Canyon helicopter tours on a previous trip to Vegas, and I decided that I was not going to let this fear hold me back.  So…I got in the helicopter.  And it was amazing.

I know…so many pictures!  So we took our tour with a company called Sundance Helicopters.  They were amazing and the tour itself was perfect for what we wanted to do.  The company picked us up in a limo at our hotel, and brought us to the hanger.  From there, we registered for our flight, met our pilot and took off toward the Grand Canyon.  Within a few minutes of arriving to the Grand Canyon, we landed at the look out spot (see above) and had time to walk around, take pictures, eat our breakfast and make our way back to the helicopter.  Once everyone was loaded back up, we took another flight back to Vegas and made it safely on the ground!

This experience is something that I was remember forever.  The staff was phenomenal and so informative throughout the entire process.  The views once we were in the air were beautiful, and our landing spot was perfect.  I had never been to the Grand Canyon before, and while I know there is so much more to be seen, I love that I saw this little portion of it on this trip.  I would highly recommend this tour if you are in Vegas, as it was well worth it!
