So I was a communication major in college. I took classes on how to speak publicly, how to have intimate communication, and how to communicate in the workplace. The list goes on, but one of the classes I remember most was one where we discussed our clothing communicating for us. What you wear makes a statement. Up until that point, I lived in tennis clothes everyday, therefore telling those around me, “hey, I am an athlete.” I can vividly remember my professor telling me all she knew about me, simply by watching what I wore to class. It was weird, but also true. And as crazy as it sounds, I have paid more attention to my wardrobe ever since! Now, when I get dressed for the day, I want to feel confident, giving the message “don’t mess with me.” I am strong, I am beautiful and I am unique. My clothing should reflect that. In all aspects of life, I want to dress to impress
Top | Pants | Shoes | Sunglasses
I found these pants on sale while I was home for Christmas and had to have them. I love them because one, the color is unique, and two, I can wear them to work and for fun! I mean a good, classy trouser is right up my alley, and these are pretty much perfect. The high waisted fit is flattering and I love the length because I can change up my shoes! It is a win, win. AND I feel comfortable and confident when I wear them, which is the icing on the cake.
