Have you ever wanted to pair items in your closet together that just by glancing, probably would not go together? Pretty much every time I get dressed this goes through my mind. I am quick to say, “Oh this is classic it will go nicely,” instead of stepping out and creating a look that may stand out more than others. Don’t get me wrong though, I love to stand out. And I love to create different looks that people might not otherwise consider, but in the day-to-day, “let’s throw something on” process, I typically stick to what I know. Well, I have decided to work on that.

When I purchased this blazer, I imagined a crisp white shirt underneath with a pair of dark flared denim. And while that outfit still intrigues me (and I will probably wear it often), I decided to go a different route when I styled this blazer for the first time. In my head I thought, “all white would be cool with it,” while also thinking “I need some texture,” and there you go. Adding the lace underneath the blazer was the perfect satin and lace combo, but adding the distressed denim into the mix made it more fun. On top of all of this, instead of going with my typical nude, or blush pump, I threw on my Adidas Superstars which made my feet happy. I actually love how this look turned out and discovered that sometimes I just need to play with my ideas a little more!
