I have noticed lately that my style has changed ever so slightly. I am not sure if it is the mom thing or what but I cleaned out my closets after Miles was born and got rid of A TON of stuff. Once I cleaned out the old, I noticed that the new items I bought (to replace the old) all have a similar look. First, they are all either black, white, tan or a caramel color. Second, most of them (pretty much all) are breastfeeding friendly haha. I guess it makes sense that I would have to adjust my wardrobe to meet my “new” needs, as well as my new body. Well, with that being said, I seem to have an eye for black jumpsuits lately. Without realizing I purchased three (all different styles in my defense) to work into my new closet. And I won’t lie, I LOVE them. Two of the three are breastfeeding friendly while the third is not, but they all can be worn in SO many different ways, I am having so much fun styling them!
The Romper Style
This jumpsuit is such a fun option. It can be casual with sneakers, or can easily be dressed up with heels which I love. I even think I could branch out and pair it with boots and a fun coat as it gets cooler so I am excited to continue styling it! For this particular look, I went with the easy, casual option. I threw it on with my sneakers and a cute bag and was ready to roll. It has just the right amount of sass with the puff sleeve that I feel ready for errands or girls night! It hooks up the front which makes it easy to breastfeed in but if you are not a mom (or don’t have to worry about that) you can just play with the neckline!
The Midi Style
This jumpsuit is pretty much the same as the shorter one but with a culottes vibe. I loved this option for work because it is an easy, little to think about in the morning, option for when I am getting dressed. Not only is it good for work, but I could easily go from work to happy hour, or work to date night in this number because it is so fun! Similar to the romper, this jumpsuit can easily be worn with sneakers or heels. With the pants being a longer fit (not shorts) I can definitely wear this number to work! For this look, I loved the camel heels and bag with it to tie in the neutral shades. You can easily add a dressier heel and some jewelry and dress it up even more if you want!
The Pant Style
I love a good high-waisted trouser for work. This jumpsuit is just that and I LOVE the ease of it! It could definitely be worn by itself, or add a blazer or jacket and you are ready to roll. For now, I paired it will a transitional mule, but as it gets cold I will switch to a closed toe option or even a bootie. I just love how simple, yet classic this look is and know that I will get a ton of wear out of this jumpsuit!
When I cleaned out my closets I wanted to get rid of items I know I would not consistently wear. I told myself, “If you haven’t worn it at least twice then it needs to go,” and that helped me clear A TON out. I decided that I want to work down to having high quality, staple pieces that can be worn in different was for versatility. These jumpsuits are perfect for that lifestyle and I love having them in my closet! I have rounded up some of my favorite black jumpsuits of all price points here (including the ones I am wearing) so take a look and see how you might want to work them in to your wardrobe!
