Once that late Spring and Summer heat falls upon us, it is rather WARM here in Louisiana. It is sticky and the humidity is difficult to overcome, so figuring out how to dress for the temperatures can be confusing. It is pretty common that during these months I opt for light weight dresses, rompers, or shorts to get me through because the heat can be unbearable. Now that we are really starting to experience those warmer months, I began looking for dresses that could help keep me cool while enjoying the summer heat. For classic, everyday options, I love checking out what Forever 21 has to offer because they are cute items that don’t break the bank!

I found this dress before I went to California a few months back. I thought the weather was going to be warmer there so I purchased this linen number for the trip originally. I did not end up getting to wear the dress (because naturally it was cold) but no worries, it is hot in Louisiana! Our temperatures are quickly rising so my summer dresses are pretty much out in full force! Like I said though, this dress from Forever 21 is perfect because the material is perfect for the summer heat. The ease it has with the loose fit and open shoulders is perfect to show off my sun kissed tan ( I am working on that) and add a dainty feel to my look!
